Machiel Birkhoff
Machiel started his career as a volunteer E.M.T. with the New Orleans Health Dept., responding to emergency medical needs. After becoming a LPN and working in both the hospital and home setting, Machiel found his true passion, working with seniors. Since 2002, he has worked in assisted living and memory care as a Health Care Manager and recently Director of Community Relations. He is also a very active member of the Greater New Orleans Alzheimer’s Association advisory board.
